I didn't post what happened as far as my surgery on my etsy blog...I figured most people visit that blog just to read about shop related info only.
Anyway, since november I've had a huge amount of pain that would come and go from day to day. I wasn't until I'd get up in the morning until I would figure out what kind of day it was going to be! Needless to say, I've been through some serious crap!
Even though I had been to a bunch of doctors, I felt like I was getting the run around and met my braking point Feb. 26 when my mother found me laying on the floor next to my son's pack n' play. (thank god for mommy's coming to visit!) I was then taken by ambulance to local hospital, which then decided I had too serious of a problem for them to deal with so then they sent me by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown.
Sooooo, first I had a greenfield filter installed in my jugular vein to catch my blot clots, and then was wheeled in for 8 hours of surgery. A very large cyst on my left ovary, twisted my ovary and then attached itself to my intestines, and my spleen. My uterus was ruined due to too muh scar tissue and endometreous. Spent 2 days in ICU, and another 2 uncontous in another highly monitored area. When I woke up, yikes!
I just came home friday from living with my mom with the baby until I could handle taking care of him without that much help. My husband has to work full time or we will lose everything so it's been ruff!
Hopefully in another week or so I will be good enough to re-open my etsy shop and having a life again! Catch yuz later,
Anne

*sigh*
Well, nothing, and I mean nothing, went well last week.
I didn't sell any of my Valentine's day jewelry, pretty bummed out about that.
I didn't finish my husband's scarf for his present.
The baby has a cold.
I was diagnosed with Lupus.
Didn't do any work on the "fake painting".
Ahhhh! I don't know to be angry or sad. Now it's wednesday and I still didn't get a thing done. I hope that today, Donno will be a little patient while I take pictures of some new stuff for my shop. Woah is me!!!!

Sooo, I really should get something done...
It's almost 8:30 a.m. and here I am on the computer when there is a very large pile of dishes soaking in the sink, I have food to cook for supper, cookies to bake, scarves to knit, paintings to finish, and jewelry to get done.
I got on the computer to refer to a recipe I have saved, but somehow ended up checking out what my etsy folks had to say, hmmmmm.
I need to stay away from the computer for a while to get some of this stuff done today. The laundry in my bedroom to fold is about to take over!!!
Dueling unfolded underpants,
Anne

Work in process, putting up the caution tape!
Well, as I mentioned in the last blog, I took down the evil "fake painting", and am begining to paint it. Unfortunetely, it is quite difficult to paint with a crawling and cruising 9 month old baby and I have to use his nap time as my paint time.
Also this week, I have to hurry up and finish my husband's Valentine's day present which is a black knitted scarf. It's going to take me all week because I'm using such tiny needles...all you knitters know what I'm talking about. I just hope I can finish by Saturday, ugh!
My grandmother is also in the hospital, so that is kind of taking up time too. I know, that sounds awful, but packing up the baby and driving to the hospital really takes up the day! I hope she gets out soon, she hates it there.
Other than that, just kind of annoyed at my ebay. I don't always sell on there, but I do when I have a lot of stuff hanging around that I think can be sold. It's getting a little ridiculous on there though. I just sold a bunch of clothing for $2.25. I know, I know my fault for not starting the open bid higher than a dollar, but I really thought I would have gotten more than that! By the time I drive to the post office, it doesn't seem worth it. Oh well.

It is time!
As I was chatting on the etsy chat on wednesday the topic of my "fake painting" came up.
Fake painting? Me? Noooooooooo!!!
We moved into our house about 9 years ago now. We weren't married yet, and still pretty nieve and stupid! One thing we did know, is that the house seemed to fit us somehow. Our home is a half a double in a small, crappy little old coal mining town. The only thing that's really great is that it has a larger yard for town.
Once we moved in, there was quite a lot of work to be done. Our house really looked like the 70's threw up. It had weird charm in certain areas, and as I do have abnormal tastes when it comes to decorating, not all of the 70's stuff bothered me. We actually kept some funky wallpaper going up the stairs because you just don't see that stuff anymore!
During the past few years we made a lot of adjustments. The walls in most of the rooms have a lot of my art from school up on them, and they are dotted with pictures of my family. But then there's the kitchen.
Our kitchen hasn't had any tlc the whole time we are here, and as I had mentioned in the begining of this blog there is a.......fake painting!!!!
How can somebody who went to school for art have a freakn' fake painting in their house? I really don't have a explaination. I guess I've been procrastinating so much, that there it is. We laugh at it....but like a joke that has been told way too many times, now it's just annoying.
So today, I promised myself to take the damn thing down. When I did, I started remembering all the plans that I had for the "fake painting". I had been saving tea box art for a while to decoupage on the board...but then somewhere I had stopped and now just have a drawer of crap. I also remember tring to come up with a mural for the wall that the painting was on, but then realized that it would probalby look pretty wacky. Reguardless, I promise to recycle this wretched thing and breath life into the "fake painting". My plan is to paint a picture of my koi pond from the summer on it. It is going to take a while, becuase this is one ugly piece of flake board, but I am detirmined!!!
I'm going to try to add pictures of the progress, join me in my adventure!
